Mrs Rosalyn William Mensah, Secretary to the Parent-Teacher Network of the North Ridge Lyceum, has called on students to take their studies seriously to become useful citizens in future and contribute to national development.
She noted that there was no short-cut to success and that hard work, discipline, and determination should be their hallmark through which they could excel and achieve their avowed aims.
Mrs Mensah said this at the end of the Lyceum’s annual fitness walk in in Accra, which sought to bring parents, teachers and students together to socialize, improve on their health and discuss ways of promoting teaching and learning.
The two-hour walk started from the school’s premises at North Ridge through the Ako Adjei Interchange to the 37 Military Hospital and back to the School.
Mrs Mensah advised students to desist from engaging in examination malpractices to avoid getting their image tarnished and appealed to parents to take active interest in the education of their children.
