The management of Mobile Network Operator, Tigo has paid a courtesy call on the Okyehene, Osagyefo Amoatia Ofori Panyin II, ahead of the climax of his 15th anniversary celebrations on the throne.

Roshi Motman, the Chief Executive Officer for Tigo Ghana Limited, commended the Okyehene?s achievements in environmental protection, education and support for the development and well-being of children.

Presenting a cheque of GHC20, 000 to support the anniversary celebration, she said Tigo remained committed to promoting Ghana?s rich culture and tradition and would continue to support several of such projects, which unite communities.

She singled out ?Tigo Fest? as one such programme which celebrates Ghana?s rich cultural diversity.

Roshi explained that Tigo had been in the country for 22 years and would be around for the long term to do sustainable business.

She mentioned investment, employment creation, human resource development and sustainable development in the areas of community development as some of the opportunities created by Tigo.

The Okyehene, Osagyefo Amoatia Ofori Panyin II, commended Tigo for its contributions to the country?s development through various social investment initiatives.

Focusing on children?s welfare as the central theme for his anniversary celebration, the Okyehene called on society to protect and ensure the well-being of children as they are the future to the country?s development.
