Asante Kotoko chief Opoku Nti will be using his time in Switzerland to check on the status of their FIFA case against striker Yahaya Mohammed.

The 25-year-old has been accused of signing a contract with Libyan club Al-Ittihad without the consent of the Ghanaian champions.

Yahaya Mohammed appears to have made very good use of the ?Bosman? rule which allows players under contract but with at least six months to the end of their existing deal to enter into a pre-contract agreement with another club.

But Kotoko argue the player did not notify them, first of his trip to Libya where he is accused of signing a contract and also informing them of external interest as negotiations were ongoing to renew his expiring contract.

Kotoko have since suspended the ex OGC Nice player and have referred the matter to the world football governing body for redress.

The club?s General Manager Opoku Nti is in Switzerland to with the youth team who are taking part in an international tournament in Zurich.

He however wants to take advantage of his presence in the European country to get more insights on the progress of their case.

Nti will visit the FIFA headquarters in Zurich with the youth side on a familiarization tour and will meet officials over the Yahaya Mohammed case.
