The Chiefs and people of OsuTraditional Council has celebrate its annual grand durbar to climax its Homowo festive activities for the year under a theme ?celebrating Peace, Education,Unity and Development for the Bettermen of Osu community?.
Addressing the gathering, the Paramount Chief and the President of the Osu Traditional Council Nii Okwei Kinka Dowuona VI said inspite of the past division the community has been a onekeeper to foster the socio-economic transformation of the Osu community.
He urged the people in the community to develop and accommodate heart for one another to create an enabling community of peace and unity for growth and a better environment for the unborn generation to follow.
According to him the community has come to point where there are no excuses to accelerate the community?s development.
He added that the current renovation of the Osu Mantse White Palace is an example of peace and unity the people of Osu have achieve and witnesses.
Nii Okwei Kinka Dowuona VI revealed that the stool has plans of giving a facelift to the Royal Mausoleum, construction of the Osu community Library, construction of a modern borehole pipes in four quarters which include Kinkawe, Ashante, Alata and Anorhor respectively.

The durbar was grace by many personalities such as the former Minister for Defence, Major Joseph Henry Smith, the Mayor of Accra Hon. Alfred Okoe Vanderpuje, La Manste Nii Kpobi Tete Tsuru, Tema Manste, Nii Adjei Kraku, the President of the Greater Accra Regional House of chiefs, Nene Kabu Akuaku II, Greater Accra Regional Minister Hon.Julius Debrah and among other important dignitaries.
