The Chiefs and people of OsuTraditional Council hascelebrate its annual grand durbar of chiefs to climax activities for the year with a theme ?celebrating Peace, Unity and Development for a Better Osu community?.
Addressing the gathering, the Paramount Chief and the President of the Osu Traditional Council NiiOkweiKinkaDowuona VI said in spite of the past division the community has been another onekeeper to foster the socio-economic transformation of the Osu community.
He urged the people in the community to develop and accommodate heart for one another this he said would create an enabling community of peace and unity for growth and a better environment for the unborn generation.
According to him the community has come to point where there are no excuses to accelerate the community?s development.
He added that the current renovation of the OsuMantse White Palace is an example peace and unity the people of Osu have achieve.
NiiOkweiKinkaDowuona revealed that the stool has plans of giving a facelift to the Royal Mausoleum, construction of the Osu Library, construction of a modern borehole pipes in four quarters which includeKinkawe, Ashante, Alata and Anorhor which according to him would help alleviate water problems in the community.
The celebration was witness by a number of dignitaries include the former Minister for Defence, Major Joseph Hennery Smith, the Mayor of Accra Hon. Alfred OkoeVanderpuje, La MansteNiiKpobiTeteTsuru, TemaManste, NiiAdjeiKraku, the President of the Ga Traditional Council, Nene KabuAkuaku II and among other important dignitaries.
