Police deploys mobile force to Nigerian state

Police in Nigeria has deployed additional units of mobile policemen to restore peace in Godogodo town of central north Kaduna State where around 40 people were killed over the past weekend.


The policemen were mandated to hunt down perpetrators of the attacks, Aliyu Usman, state police spokesperson said in a statement reaching Xinhua on Tuesday.

The attacks were suspected to have been conducted by Fulani Herdsmen on residents.

Usman said policemen were also deployed to Kafanchan of Jema’a local government area in the state and environs to forestall any reprisal attack. Enditem
