Ex-Ghana international Mohammed Ahmed Polo has launched a verbal attack on the country’s football governing body, GFA, over the decision to partner coach Francis Oti Akenteng and Kuuku Dadzie for the Queens’ return leg in Cameroun.

The Black Queens were held 1-1 when they hosted their Camerounian counterparts in their African Cup of Nations decider, making the FA officials doubt its head coach Kuuku Dadzie’s competence.

As a result, they have tasked GFA technical director Oti Akenteng to accompany the team for the reverse leg scheduled for June 16 in Cameroun.

But Polo believes the decision was wrong and improper, pointing out on Happy FM: “If I were Kuuku Dadzie, I would resign. This is improper and not done anywhere.

“It is football, and anything can happen. Kuuku is the head coach and must continue to be in charge. After all, he is not a small boy. He should be given the free hand to overcome the challenge.

“Chelsea prevailed over Barca, though the latter played all the good football, and that does not make Guardiola a bad coach. You have to look at the team’s prospects before condemning the coach.

“We don’t do things like that, if we continue doing things like this, we wouldn’t get the best of our coaches. Coach Oti can advice him but can’t be on the bench with him,” he lamented.

The team is expected to pitch camp in Ethiopia from where they would travel for the return leg on June 16.
