Catholic priests of the Marian Movement of order and associates yesterday in Onitsha said prayers for the release of the abducted school girls in Chibok, Borno state in commemoration of the one hundred days of their abduction incident.

The group, all dressed in black went round the major streets of Onitsha, also used the opportunity to pray for the conversion of the deadly sect and repose of souls of hundred of individuals already consumed in their many violent attacks on the citizens.

The spokesman, Rev Fr Augustine Chigbo called on all Nigerians to devote quality time to pray for the country which according to him is the only solution out of the present spate of killings, adding that forces of darkness trying to pull the nation down can not prevail if all hands are joined together in prayers against them.

The spokesman appealed to the BokoHaram sect to immediately stop the blood-letting as no religion on earth that is worth its salt would encourage such a dastard act.

A former national director of the movement, Rev Fr Simple Okoli and Bro Paul Oruche re-emphasized the sanctity of human life which should only be taken by God almighty.

Fr Peter Okafor and Bro?Sunday?Akpuogwu also stressed the right of people to life and to reside in any particular place of their choice to carry out their legitimate business. The duo also pointed out that there is great need for converts to voluntarily make up their minds on their chosen mode of worship instead of attempting to coerce them to accept a particular religion.
