SOME HEARTLESS hoodlums have made the All Nations Children?s Home at Ayigya, in Kumasi, their preferred destination for robbery activities.

These unidentified robbers reportedly stormed the home in a bloody fashion in April 2013 and made away with some valuable items of the inmates.

Since then, these robbers had been storming the place periodically to carry out their fiendish activities especially in the night.

The founder of the home, Rev. Philip Nyamekye said lack of fencing of the home was making it easy for the robbers to attack the hapless inmates at will.

He therefore appealed passionately to the public to help managers of the home to construct a wall around it to save the inmates from further robbery attacks.

Rev. Nyamekye made the appeal when Multi Credit Savings and Loans Ltd, a financial institution in Kumasi, donated items worth GH?20,000 to the home.

The items which included soaps, soft drinks, bags of rice, toiletries and biscuits, were to help the inmates celebrate the yuletide in style.

Rev. Nyamekye said the home also needed assistance in the form of bags of cement, roofing sheets and cash to help them to complete a dormitory project.

He said the home would also welcome anybody or group which was willing to help in the payment of school fees of the inmates, notably those at the Senior High School level.

The home now boasts of 52 school going inmates aged between two and 21.

Jane Marshall Amissah, head of Marketing, Multi Credit Savings and Loans, said her outfit had been helping the home periodically.

According to her, the owner of the Multi Credit Savings and Loans, Kwabena Kesse, a staunch Christian, delighted in helping the poor and needy in society.

Mrs. Amissah said the largesse was Multi Credit?s small way of putting smiles on the faces of the inmates during the festive season.
