Rock Music was an experiment performed by music artists back in 1950?s, without realizing the prospective fate of their embryonic musical release. The components of this experiment were African-American genres, Western swing and country music. ?Rocket 88? by Jackie Brenston and ?Rock Around the Clock? by Bill Haley were the first products. Other artists such as Chuck Berry, Little Richard, Carl Perkins and Jerry Lee Lewis also started experimenting with their vocal capabilities and musical tools. As a result it emerged as a wave which soon encompassed the whole United States. However, the first set back to this emerging form of music came in the shape of major artists abandoning the field. They were no more there to bring sensation in the lives of their listeners. Tickets Move recently explained evolution of rock music with some dancing text.
In 1960?s UK was the first place where Rock Music first landed and flourished. The Beatles made a hallmark by performing its debut for 73 million people, hence, capturing the first five positions on Billboard Charts. They paved the way for their followers which included Kinks, the Rolling Stones, the Animals, the Zombies and the Hollies. The Beatles after earning their repute as live performers decided to work in studios. Their devotion and hard work brought a new dimension of music at the door steps of the world, through putting together different musical styles, improvement in songwriting and production. Their major albums were Rubber Soul, Revolver, White Album, and Abby Road.
The next era, 1970?s, was labeled with heavier themes, though it became the major genre of music. Prominent artists included Led Zeppelin, The Who, Queen, Rush, Pink Flayed. The music started getting fast and loud which turned it towards heavy metal. This trend kept on beating in the music of 1980?s. Nirvana?s song ?Smells like teen?s shirt? is the perfect example of the music produced at that time. The other major names were Pear Sam, Soundgarden and Mudhoney. This inclination ended in 1990?s but left its traces in the music to come. This experimentation never ended; finally bringing together hip hop and hard rock, which is still rolling in the streets of music.
Presently, Rock Music is a very popular form of music in United States and rest of the world with some major names such as Kings of Leon, Black Keys and Imagine Dragons.
