The Roman Catholic Junior High School at Kukua in the Suhum Municipality of the Eastern Region is on the verge of collapse.
The school block, constructed by the community more than 60 years ago, has not seen renovation and has therefore become a death trap to the 230 pupils and their teachers.
Speaking to the GNA at Kukua, Nana Samuel Asare, Chief of the town, said the structure has developed deep cracks while the corrugated roofing sheets are also hanging loosely.
He said a rainstorm could spell disaster .
Nana Asare said though the municipal assembly?s works inspectorate division had inspected the site, their response has been ?too slow?.
