Royal Jordanian Airlines on Wednesday said it has suspended its Amman-Rome flights, starting from Feb. 26, 2020, until further notice.

“At this stage, RJ (Royal Jordanian Airlines) is also consolidating several flights from Amman to its stations in the Far East, bringing the average of cancellations of weekly Asian operations to up to 50 percent,” it said in a statement.

The decisions are aimed at the safety of travelers in light of the increasing numbers of infections with coronavirus in Italy and some Asian countries, RJ President Stefan Pichler said in the statement. Enditem
