When wealth is lost, nothing is lost; when character is lost, something is lost; when health is lost, all is lost.

We are still shock to the marrow by the irresponsible, hypocritical and baseless strike by the members of Ghana Medical Association.
It is the view of Health and Safety Bureau Ghana, that it is both shameful and life damning that Ghana Medical Association has refused to rescind their decision on this unwholesome and illigal strike which is taking the lives of innocent Ghanaians.

Health and Safety Bureau Ghana cannot fathom the reason for this entrenched position taken by Ghana Medical Association.

Ghanaians cannot understand the motive behind this industrial strike by our doctors if indeed their demands are for next year. Why then the strike action now if your demands are for next year?

Ghanaians are in pain, agony for the past two weeks with the withdrawal of all Out Patients Department (OPD) and Emergency services in all public hospitals.

We are calling on the government as a matter of urgency to freeze the salaries of all striking doctors for the number of days they have laid down their tools since their actions are absolutely illogical and illegal and any other labour unions that are following this illegality.

We are again calling on government as a matter of emergency sack all the striking doctors and furthermore eject them from the government bungalows to pave way for the private doctors and retired doctors to come onboard and help Ghanaians out of their pains and agonies.

We are accusing the Ghana Medical Association of adopting an approach which is not in tandem with the law in the ongoing negotiation.

We are vehemently questioning the reason for which members of Ghana Medical Association are on strike while still negotiating with government since that violate the labour law of Ghana.

As a country we cannot afford the cost, in this case, human lives which have already started mounting.
It will be in the interest of the doctors and the Ghanaians as a whole for them to return to work since it is not pleasant to go on strike and watch your people die like fowls. Will the doctors be able to bring back to life all the people who have lost their lives as a result of their action once they are paid?

It is our believe that, doctors knowing very well of their oath to save lives will go back to their consulting rooms whilst negotiation goes on in the interest of Ghanaians.
