The number of cases in the Ebola outbreak has exceeded 10,000, with 4,922 deaths, the World Health Organization says in its latest report.
According to reports reaching Xinhua, the reported Ebola positive case is a relative of the 67 year old lady who died recently of the Ebola virus in the Sellakafter community in the Kambia district north of Sierra Leone, which borders with the Republic of Guinea.

The Public Relations Officer in the Health Ministry said that they are concerned but it does not bother them much as it was expected.

According to Abbas Kamara the Ebola positive patient is the niece of the lady who died and was being pursued vigorously by the Ebola team in the Kambia district. She was caught yesterday and tested positive.

The Ebola case has reversed the country’s countdown to the 42 days incubation period. The country had gone about 10 days without any Ebola reported case in the country. Now 20 people have been quarantined whilst 93 are being vigorously watched, according to the National Emergency Response Center (NERC). Enditem
