The Cape Coast Ebenezer Methodist Fellowship has adopted the Aboom School for Special Needs Children in Cape Coast to commemorate its Silver Jubilee Anniversary.wpid-nigeriaschoolkids0.jpg

It has, consequently, donated food, sanitary and learning items to the school. These include many bags of rice and sugar, boxes of soaps, bottles of detergent, beverages, water storage barrels, cartons of milk, biscuits and other assorted groceries, stationery and learning materials.
At a ceremony held at the Church?s premises, Mr. Oscar Odoom, Chairman of the Fellowship, said the gesture was part of the Church?s responsibility of overseeing the welfare of the Aboom cluster of Methodist Schools.
He said the Fellowship realised the positive contribution the school was making towards the wellbeing of the children, who had intellectual and physical challenges, hence its support.

The Fellowship, Mr Odoom said, would continue to provide the needs of the school to support its smooth administration.
Receiving the items, the Assistant Headmistress, Mrs. Margaret Amponsah-Gyapong, expressed gratitude for the benevolence and promised to use the items in the interest of the children.
She advised parents of children with similar disabilities to send them to the school and appealed for support towards the expansion of the school.
The Minister in charge of the Church, the Reverend Alberta Appiah, led a short prayer session for the children, their parents, teachers and the school.
The inmates entertained the audience with songs and choreography.
