The Sunyani Regional Hospital (SRH) recorded 20 births from the midnight of December 24 to mid-day of the Boxing Day, December 26.
Madam Margaret Afosa-Kudom, Senior Supervisor of the Obstetrics and Gynaecology Department of the Hospital, told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in an interview on Wednesday in Sunyani.
Twelve of the babies were males and eight females, she said, explaining that two babies were born on the midnight of December 24, nine on Christmas Day and nine on the Boxing Day, before 1000 hours when the GNA visited the Hospital.
Mad Afosa-Kudom said three of the deliveries were through Caesarian Section (CS) but one of them was being kept in an incubator.
All the mothers and their babies were in good condition, she added and advised pregnant women to adopt the “chair delivery method of child birth because it is one of the easiest methods of child delivery and that service is available at the Hospital”.
