Stratcomm Africa releases magazine

Strategic Communications Africa Limited (Stratcomm Africa) has

launched a new magazine called- “Communicate” unto Ghanaian

market.

CommunicateThe Communicate is meant to help educate, motivate and inform its

target audience on the value of communication to human existence.

It also covers a variety of communication-related subjects such as

social media, corporate social responsibility, branding , advertising and

communication for development and for intercultural understanding.

More so, the magazine also meant to help showcase how

communication is being employed by individuals, organizations,

communities, and nations for positive impact.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, which took place in Accra, the

Chief Executive Officer of Stratcomm Africa Ms. Esther A.N. Cobbah,

stressed the need for effective communication since it is a powerful tool

when it comes to nation building.

Adding that, even democracy requires effective communication to help

promote good governance in the country.

She said, it is in this regard, Stratcomm African decided to come out with

the Communicate to help address the challenges in the Communications

Industry.

According to Public Relation Personality of the Year 2013 and the CIMG

Marketing Woman of the Year 2012, major corporate challenges that

have been created came as a result of ineffective communication or

wrong approach.

The Managing Director of Graphic Communications Limited, Ing

Kenneth Ashigbey, reviewing the Communicate , he noted that effective

communication helps in deepening connections with others and also

improves teamworks, decision-making and problem solving.

This he said, even negative or difficult messages can be communicated

without creating conflict or destroying friendship and trust by the use of

effective communication. According to him, the style of writing and the

topical nature of the articles in the maiden edition make interesting

reading.

“As the first of its kind on the media landscape, Communicate has come

to fill a value void which is lacking in the media milieu,” he said.

According to him, this significant event is an ample indication that

Strategic Communications Africa Limited (Stratcomm Africa) is

confidently marching into the modern age of communication.

The Managing Director of Airtel Ghana Ms. Lucy Quist , commended

Stratcomm Africa for coming out of this laudable initiative.

This she said, the magazine will serve as a medium of knowledge-

sharing not only among the communications professionals; but also with

the wider public including corporate executives.

Adding that, the magazine will project best practice in the

communication industry.

The Executive Director ,Domestic Banking , Ecobank Ghana Mr.George

Mensah-Asante, noted that Small and Medium Scale Enterprise (SMEs)

account for a large share of employment and contribute to provision of

basic goods and services.

Adding that, they are the primary drivers for growth in most

countries.Since their exports are vital for maintaining the value national

currency.

“In our partnership with Stratcomm Africa in respect of this premier

communications magazines, we hopeful that this knowledge- sharing

platform will help SMEs also to understand how communication is

powerful tool to grow their businesses and build their reputation,” he

emphasized. In 25years, when Ecobank will be celebrating its Golden

Anniversary, we expect to be joining Stratcomm Africa to celebrate

25years of “Communicate” magazine.
