After MAHAMA/NDC misusing Ghana’s money and creating a huge debt(budget defict) for the country through misappropriation, thievery(corruption), using for needless, non reproductive activities, it has gone/went a long way to mess up our economy, resulting in serious economic hardships for the people of Ghana.
After the above, the centre could no longer hold, so a need to shape the economy and push it back into its normal or near normal situation again through a budget consolidation(balance of budget) under an IMF PROGRAMME, and this is to be done by increasing our REVENUE by any means possible(increase in taxes, utility bills and others) and reducing our SPENDING by any means possible(laying off workers, dropping subsidies/allowances and others)
For the means of a budget consolidation through the increasing of REVENUE through taxes, sources says since the current TAXES(Tax on petrol, increase in electricity and other utility bills) were not doing the trick enough, MAHAMA/NDC thought it wise to further find some other thing to tax Ghanaians on, something that majority of Ghanaians use(a wider tax net), so that, it will be able to get them more REVENUE to help achieve their BUDGET CONSOLIDATION target.
They therefore saw it the need to tax people on just having a television because of the notion that, majority of people in Ghana own one.
Further research has shown that, the TV license which has been introduced isn’t meant to tax Ghanaians for watching a particular station but rather it is a tax meant for any Ghanaian for just owning a television set and so the actual meaning of MAHAMA/NDC TV LICENSE charge.
This is soo wicked of MAHAMA/NDC, I’m so shocked he will charge Ghanaians for just owning a television set after all the hardship he is pushing Ghanaians through already.

I’m very sure if this doesn’t help them to achieve their BUDGET CONSOLIDATION TARGET as proposed by the IMF, they will soon start taxing Ghanaians for just owning “KURABA” OR “BENTOA” or for just “DEFECATING” or “URINATING” or “BREATHING”
And the sad part of this whole thing is, why Ghanaians have to pay for the continuous thievery, misappropriations, needless use of our money and others by MAHAMA/NDC while they walk free and don’t even pay a dime.
Shaking my head, tears in my eyes, so sad for Ghana.
