Awujale says all that can be done should be done
Oba Sikiru Adetona, the Awujale of Ijebuland, has appealed to the Federal Government to pay more attention to the security situation in the country.
Adetona made this appeal in Ijebu-Ode during a courtesy visit by Governor Ibikunle Amosun to the palace. He condemned the level of insecurity in the country and urged the Federal Government to do everything within its powers to secure the lives and property of the people.
“I want to implore the Federal Government to pay more attention to the issue of security in the country. If we build schools, roads and hospitals and there is no adequate security, who will then enjoy the facilities?” Adetona said.
“The Federal Government should therefore do all it can to provide adequate security, even if it means spending all the revenue on it.”
He also thanked Governor Amosun for the developmental projects sited in Ijebu Land and urged him not to relent in his efforts to take Ogun State to a desirable position.
