Mirror Ball December 27

The Tulip Mirror Ball crossed the finish line of Ghana?s 2013 entertainment calendar with the finesse of a seasoned east African marathon runner, as it overlapped the competition several times to emerge the true icon of old school entertainment in Ghana.

Hundreds of Accra?s socialites and cr?me de la cr?me showed up in throngs to bid farewell in style to a year where the world witnessed so much drama!

The parking lot may have turned away the faint hearted on arrival as it was filled to the brim, although there was still space in the refurbished lot at the back of the hotel. Not a seat was available and each square foot of the premium Branche Lounge was claimed by Ghana?s party elite as DJ Blow pumped the good old tunes that kept the dance floor moving.

A sea of heads bobbing up and down is what one would see from the entrance. Like a true champ, the event out performed its best yet, as the party got off to an earlier start than usual.

By 11.30pm the lounge was teeming with the finest ladies in Ghana and this can be verified by the standards board.

There were many guests in attendance that had not even made it home yet, coming over to party straight from the airport with the contents of their luggage still chilled from the Heathrow and JFK vibes.

Certainly a tropical cocktail infused with Kalahari Bitters was a welcome start to the holidays back home as they reunited with old friends in a world class ambience.

Despite rumours deliberately generated to the effect that the Mirror Ball was cancelled, Accra?s movers and shakers responded in the most loyal manner, paying glowing tribute to their favourite entertainment platform as the highest caliber of guests invaded the Golden Tulip for what unanimously was the icing on the cake of another year of superior class and fun.

The next event to kick off the 2014 season will be held on January 31st with the theme ?Denim Dance? where guests will be expected to come out in Blue Jeans and a white shirt.
