TV cooking queen Nigella Lawson is apparently gearing up to divorce her husband Charles Saatchi. The news comes after the couple were involved in a public domestic incident a week ago.
The celebrity chef was pictured with her hubby?s hands around her neck during a heated argument at a London restaurant earlier this month, with the photos surfacing in the press last weekend.
The 70-year-old co-founder of Saatchi & Saatchi brushed off the incident as a ?playful tiff? but handed himself to the police where he was issued a caution for assault.
In the wake of the controversy, according to the Sunday People, the couple’s 10-year marriage has ended.
“She wants out. Neither she nor Charles are interested in counseling or trying to save the marriage,” a source close to the couple has alleged.
Another source added, “This is not how Nigella imagined her marriage might end but she realises it was the tipping point. The marriage has been under strain for some time but the choking incident was the end.
“If anything it is a relief for her that it could all be over very soon. There’s a sense she has already moved on in her own head.”
On Friday the 53-year-old was spotted without her wedding ring and has since moved into a rented Mayfair apartment.
