“The signing gives me some reassurance with regards to the peace process which will enter a decisive phase during the signing of the final Peace Agreement on Friday in Bamako,” MINUSMA boss added.
He urged all parties involved in the process to persevere in their efforts to demonstrate to the Malian population and the international community their willingness to participate in the peace process.
CMA announced on Wednesday its decision to sign the Algiers agreement, a formality that had already been accomplished by other smaller armed groups and the Malian government, but declared it won’t take part in Friday’s signing of the final agreement in Bamako. Enditem
