Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception and LittleBigPlanet 2 each got six, while Portal 2 and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim followed with five.
Batman: Arkham City and LA Noire are both nominated for Best Game, Design, Original Music, Performer and Story.
In addition, Arkham City is nominated for Action and Audio Achievement.
LA Noire also got the nod for Debut Game and Game Innovation.
Batman: Arkham City is an action adventure game, the main plot of which sees the caped crusader imprisoned in Arkham City.
It is set in a sprawling new super-prison enclosing industrial districts, iconic locations and Gotham City landmarks.
LA Noire challenges the player, controlling a Los Angeles Police Department detective in 1947, to solve a range of cases.
It received wide acclaim for its advances in storytelling and facial animation technology.
Deus Ex: Human Revolution received four nods for Action, Original Music, Story and Strategy.
Assassin’s Creed Revelations and Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 are both up for three gongs.
