Dr Archibald Yao Letsa, Volta Regional Minister, has revealed that the 2021 Volta Trade and Investment Fair had been an improvement from the past events.

He attributed the improvement to the level of publicity and the involvement of “Volta Fair Brand Ambassadors”.

Dr Letsa made the revelation in an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) at the Ho Sports Stadium; the venue of the Fair.

Some of the products exhibited included vehicles, locally produced beads, agricultural machinery and products, local drinks, solar irrigation pump, local clothing and accessories, local detergents, telecommunication networks and financial institutions.

Dr Letsa noted that the Fair would open opportunities for exhibitors as well as patrons.

He said his expectation was that businesses would improve, adding that a “dzomi” (palm oil) exhibitor in a past fair was currently exporting her products abroad.

Some exhibitors interacting with the GNA noted that the Fair over the years had helped them and hoped that the 2021 Volta Fair would be even better.

Chief Executive Officer of Padan Development Centre, Mrs Eyram Vigbedor, a regular exhibitor, said she had benefitted a lot from Volta Fair in terms of patronage as well as follow ups after the event.

She encouraged business owners to take advantage of the opportunities Volta Fair presented, while promising patrons of good discounts.

Adonai Estate Eco-Tourism Manager, Mr Eastwood Asempah, described the Fair as “one of its kind” which was projecting Volta’s Tourism and agribusiness potentials to the world.

The 2021 Volta Fair is the fifth in the series and on the theme: “Creating Enabling Environment for Agribusiness, Tourism and ICT Companies.”
