Women To Overtake Men in Job Force by 2020

A survey conducted by The Moment Newspaper has revealed that by the year 2020, women would outnumber men in the workforce, as there will be a historic reversal caused by long-term changes in women’s roles and massive job losses for men during that period.

This phenomenon will occur due to what employers nowadays need from their employees. Most employers according to our survey are looking for more women who are ready to show off their ?boobs? in way of enticing customers to their businesses.

Women held 49.83% of the nation jobs and they’re gaining the vast majority of jobs in the few sectors of the economy that are growing, especially the banking and media sectors.

The change of the said roles as women will be taking over strategic positions making men lose their jobs as result reflects the growing importance of women as wage earners, but it doesn’t show full equality.

The survey also found out that women have been a growing share of the once heavily male labor force for nearly a century, recording big bumps during epochal significant business times.

Women are poised to surpass men on the nation?s payrolls, taking the majority for the first time in Ghana?s history. The reason has less to do with gender equality than with where the axe is falling. This is because over 50% of women, corporate women, are believed to have gotten their jobs through the way they dress, to appeal to both customers and employers. The phenomenon of seeing corporate women exposing their ?boobs? even at the offices is fast growing and this, is linked to job protection and job acquisition as well as promotions.

The proportion of women who are working has changed very little since 1990s, but a full 80 percent of the job losses have befallen men, who are heavily represented in distressed industries like manufacturing and construction and even media.

Women tend to be employed in areas like education and health care, which are less sensitive to economic ups and downs, and in jobs that allow more time for child care and other domestic work, but the trend are now changing.

But now things are different, women are taking over industries, manufacturing and the banking industry not only in what they can offer but how they can satisfy customers with their looks, the survey indicated.

The Survey also revealed that 70% of Ghanaian men would lose their positions to women by 2020 making them dominate the labor force as more ventured outside the home.

Women may be safer in their jobs, but tend to find it harder to support a family. For one thing, they work fewer overall hours than men. Women are much more likely to be in part-time jobs without health insurance or unemployment insurance. Even in full-time jobs, women earn more than their male counterparts.

Many of the unemployed men interviewed say they have tried to help out with cooking, veterinarian appointments and other chores, but they have not had time to do more because job-hunting consumes their days.

Ghana?s overall job market is being dominated by male workers. But when it comes to new jobs for Ghanaians with the influx of financial institutions, banks etc, in this 21st century, the opposite is true.

The employment rate among women in their 20s increased significantly above men.

Although lots of employers interviewed are of the opinion that women make better business decisions than men and that Companies with female directors perform better and cut risk of bankruptcy, the trend in Ghana today seems to be shifting focus on these attributes but rather, employers are looking for women who are ready to expose their sensitive parts all in the interest of attracting them (employers) especially male employers as well as customers.

Further checks indicated that Female board directors consider interests of all parties as our survey has it that about 900 people interviewed showed that women’s decisions are fairer, they make better bosses than men because they are fairer and have more scruples, and so are given the chance.

Women?s pay will overtake men?s within a decade if current trends in the labour market continue. So the question many people are asking is whether men are safe.
