Madam Fatima Alimohamed, General Manager, Commercial, Wilmar Africa Limited said the company believes in supporting the development of the economy, hence the introduction of more brands.

Madam Alimohamed was speaking at the frytol X?mas Celebrity Cook-off in Accra.

The event saw two celebrities, Actress Jamsmine Baroudi and PY Addo Boateng in attendance for the cooking competition.

It was to create awareness about the frytol brand and also to explore the different dishes that could be made with the brand.

She said the programme would be an annual event for celebrities to test their cooking abilities and also have fun after a long year of doing business.

?Next year the programme will be better, bigger and exciting,? she added.

She said one challenge faced by manufacturers in the country is the importation of most of its raw materials for production, indicating this made government lose revenue.

PY Addo Boateng, who won the competition expressed the hope that more events would be organised to socialise with their fans.
