You Are A Gem In God’s Eyes
Psalm 84:11-12 declares, ?For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly. O LORD of hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in thee.?
The above scriptures vividly describe the person of God. He is a SUN and SHIELD. He is the very source of our being. He is the one sustaining our lives. Thank God for the privilege of being among the living today.
The fact that you are alive means that God has not finished with you yet. He has good plans for you. He wants to accomplish certain things through you. He wants to use you as an instrument to bless mankind.
Apart from being a sun that enlivens you, God is a shield that protects you. Do not take the sustenance of your life for granted. You are never always alone; God is with you always to protect you from the snares of the enemy. Recount times when you escaped death by the skin of the teeth, who do you think was behind your miraculous escape of death?
I am sure you have also encountered heart-breaking situations, unwelcome challenges which you were able to overcome. If you are not special to anybody, you are to God. God cares about you. His word says He will give you grace and glory.
What do you want to do with your life? What mission resides in your heart? By His divine grace, you will be able to do whatever you want to do in this world. John Henry Jowett wrote: ?The will of God will never lead you where the grace of God cannot keep you.?
Whatever plans the Lord has for you; they will be fulfilled unhindered by His grace. He will teach you, guide you and grant you the wisdom to do exploits.
Psalm 37:5 says, ?Commit everything you do to the Lord. Trust him, and he will help you.? God is always available to help if you will submit and depend solely on him. Men will disappoint you but not God.
The secret of having God’s favour is to trust him absolutely and obey his word. Study the word of God and apply its principles. Let his word be your guide.
When the word of God sinks into your heart, and you follow the wise counsel of the Lord, there isn’t anything you cannot handle. Romans 8:31 says, ?If God is for us, who can be against us?? Remember God will respond if we cry out to him.
God is the epitome of love. He loved mankind so much that he gave his only begotten son, that whoever believes in him should never perish but have everlasting life. His word says he will not withhold any good thing from us if we are obedient to his word.
Your total belief and trust in God should make worrying a thing of the past. In Matthew 6:31-32 Bible asserts, ?Do not start worrying; ? Where will my food come from? Or my drink? Or my clothes?
Your Father in heaven knows that you need all these things.? Each one of us is precious in the eyes of God. As a very wise person once said, ?It is important we remember that even though we might not think highly of ourselves, we are all gems in God’s eyes.?
Do you feel inferior and worthless? You are the apple of God’s eye. The LORD was prepared to do anything for you, even to die for you. He will always protect and uplift you. Great trials will come, but he will cause you to triumph.
Soren Kierkegaard said something that is most appropriate for the conclusion of this piece. He said, ?God in Heaven, Let me really feel my nothingness, Not in order to despair over it, But in order to feel the more powerfully The greatness of Your goodness.?
