?The Minister for local Government and Rural Development, Samuel Ofosu Ampofo says lack of effective leadership is a major contributor to the underdevelopment of the Tema West Constituency.
According to him, even though Tema is the industrial hub of the nation, the area lacks infrastructure and human resources development due to poor leadership.
He said this at the inauguration of the Constituency Branch of the Youth for Mahama and Ampofo Fan Club?at Tema. Mr Ofosu Ampofo noted that it is time Ghanaians rise above party politics and consider competence and capabilities in deciding who should represent them in Parliament.
He promised to bring a paradigm shift into polities through on all inclusive, proactive and efficient leadership towards addressing the socio-economic challenges in the constituency.
Touching on the truck records and the experience of President Mahama, Mr. OfosuAmpofu said he stands tall among all the Presidential candidates and therefore deserves the mandate of Ghanaians to continue?with the good works of the NDC.
Commenting on the free SHS educational policy of the opposition NPP, Mr. OfosuAmpofo said it will only undermine the quality of education. He mentioned inadequate teachers and lack of classroom blocks as same of the challengers to be addressed in the educational sector to expand access.
The Minister called on all Ghanians to pray towards a peaceful election and vote massively for the NDC.
