A building collapse in Lagos, Nigeria’s economic hub has left two people killed and at least 10 injured, according to the emergency management agency.
Femi Oke-Osanyintolu, the general manager of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency told Xinhua on Thursday that the incident happened on Wednesday as a result of heavy rainfall in the area.
Oke-Osanyintolu, who said two children were extricated from the rubble, added that mudslide hit the building from the rear, trapping the kids.
Oke-Osanyintolu told Xinhua that all those who sustained injuries were treated on the spot and discharged, adding that the scene has been cordoned off. Enditem
