Nigerian singer 2Baba told a Lagos concert crowd Sunday that he is done “looking for trouble,” days after his estranged wife, Natasha Osawaru, reportedly confronted him at an Abuja nightclub.

Idibia, whose real name is Innocent Idibia, made the remark during Daddy Showkey’s “50 Years on Stage” celebration at Eko Hotels & Suites in Lagos, telling the crowd in Pidgin that he had decided to stop courting trouble. “I don decide not to dey look for trouble again,” he said, without naming Natasha or explaining what prompted the comment. The timing followed days of public speculation about the state of his marriage.

The speculation traces to Friday, when Natasha, a member of the Edo State House of Assembly, reportedly showed up at the opening of Abuja’s “90s Lounge,” a club owned by musician Faze, where 2Baba was booked to perform. Accounts circulating online say she had struggled to reach him for weeks and sought him out directly at the venue. A source close to 2Baba’s management alleged she arrived accompanied by security personnel, a claim that has not been independently verified and that Natasha has not addressed. Reports of what followed differ, though several accounts say the two eventually entered the venue together after an initial standoff outside.

In the aftermath, 2Baba unfollowed Natasha on Instagram while refollowing his former wife, Annie Idibia. Natasha responded on her own Instagram page with an unrelated video and has not commented directly on the incident. 2Baba was later seen publicly with Nigeria’s Inspector General of Police, discussing community policing, though he did not link the meeting to the nightclub episode.

People close to the singer’s camp say the couple had been living separately for months before Friday’s incident. Neither 2Baba nor Natasha has issued a formal statement on the status of their marriage.
