5 automatic boreholes for 3BN inaugurated

The project, completed at the cost of GH? 27,000 was funded through the internally- generated fund of the Battalion with support from Sunyani Office of the Bank of Ghana (BoG) and the office of the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS).

Lieutenant Colonel Edward Awaribey, the Commanding Officer, who inaugurated the project said the 3BN for years, have been experiencing water the problem, since supply from Ghana Water Company flows twice a month.

This, he, said adversely affects sanitation conditions in the barracks.

Lt Col Awaribey said the situation was so bad that the soldiers spent much of their time looking for water, which affected their output.

He thanked the BoG and the CDS for the financial support.
