Accident causes class one pupil to lose a leg

The boy was knocked down by a vehicle in front of the School’s library around 1500 hours, while waiting for his parents to pick him home after school.

He was with a group of pupils who were waiting to be picked when a lady who was learning how to drive allegedly rammed her car into them.

The victim’s leg was severed in the accident and he was rushed to the Effia-Nkwanta Regional Hospital.

A doctor at the Effia-Nkwanta Hospital confirmed the tragic incident to the media, on Friday, and said the victim had since been transferred to the 37th Military Hospital, in Accra, for further medical attention.
