The journalists are Ghana, Cote d’Ivoire, Benin, Burkina Faso, The Gambia, Nigeria, Mali and Senegal.
The two-day workshop is being jointly organised by the ECOWAS Commission, the ECOWAS Regional Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (ECREEE) and the European Union.
The programme aims to, among others, promote one fully-integrated and consolidated Communication through all ECREEE’s programme as a key component to support the fulfilment of its strategic priority areas.
The workshop would seek to build a solid cooperation of relevant networks and taskforces, including the ECREEE Communication Group, the West Africa Network of Journalists in Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency, and the National Focal Institutions Network of Focal Persons for Communication, working actively across ECOWAS countries to foster Sustainable Energy for All.
The workshop is to be held under the framework of the ECREEE Communication and Technical Cooperation Programme, established to strengthen the cooperation and communication agenda with various local and international partners so as to implement its mandate more effectively as well as to strengthen the network of National Focal Institutions.
