Following a recent leaked tape purported to have the voice of the former National Youth Organizer of the New Patriotic Party, the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the Police Service has invited him for interrogation.

The leaked tape contained some seditious comments that tend to incite electorates and mar the impending elections in December.
Anthony Kabo, who is a Parliamentary candidate for Lawra in the Upper West Region, is quoted to have made reference to a secret meeting with mercenaries from Benin, Liberia and Libya who are tasked to assail electorates in order to pronounce his party victors in the December 7 elections.
Mr Karbo has since vehemently denied his involvement in any dubious ploy to rig the elections and refuted claims that the said leaked tape contained his voice. However, the Police CID has issued an invitation to him to assist in the investigations.
?Yesterday, while in the process of my campaigns, I had a call from the Regional Chairman of my party indicating that the police hierarchy in the region had extended an invitation to me to come by the CID headquarters at my own convenient time; I was wondering what it was and he told me it was in connection with the so-called concocted fabricated tape that was been put out there by the Ghanaian media?, he told Citi FM.
Mr Karbo further said he is not disturbed about the recent development.
He was optimistic the allegations won?t have dire consequences on his Parliamentary ambition.
He stated; ?We are very much on the ground working so hard and we are hoping to win both the Presidential and Parliamentary elections in Lawra with a very comfortable margin and I guess that during President Mahama?s tour of the Upper West Region, he might have seen the signs very clear that the NDC cannot win the Lawra seat.?
Though he has not been served with an official invitation, Anthony Karbo has been informed by the Lawra district Police Commander about the intended action by the Criminal Investigation Department.
