Kotoko defender Abeiku Ainooson
Ex-Ghana striker Augustine Arhinful has taken a stinging potshot at Abeiku Ainooson, labeling him as an ungrateful person who ditched his former employer to sign for Kotoko.
The former Black Stars striker claims the strong centre-back swerved his former boss Stephen Baidoo to sign for Proton Sports Services which aided his eventual move to the defending League champions.
Ainooson joined Kotoko after spending five years at New Edubiase where he impessed heavily during his time with the Bekwai-based side.
The youngster has since gone on to impress in Kotoko colours which has earned rave reviews in the West African country.
But Arhinful has criticized the player for not showing appreciation to the ex-Ghana defender, whom he claims nurtured the rising youngster.
?Stephen Baidoo nurtured him (Ainooson) from his infancy. He gave him to Edubiase on loan because he saw something good in him,? Arhinful told Takoradi-based Aseda FM
?In the end when he was going to Kotoko, he chose someone else as his manager. These things deter people from helping others.
?Stephen has toiled for this boy but in the end what is his reward? Absolutely nothing!
?When they were young playing at the Under-14, Under-15 levels, spending lots of money on them and your fortunate to make it to this level, you have to appreciate those who helped you to get to that level.
?It is not about money. It?s about appreciating what one has done for you. I don?t know, I really don?t understand these boys.
?They grow up to this point and they don?t respect anymore. What does Kurt Okraku know in football that Stephen Baidoo doesn?t know??
?Stephen doesn?t need to talk or fight Kurt Okraku about this because it?s neither here nor there.
?Ask yourself if someone claims to be the manager of a player, what actually does he do for the player. Some of us have played football to the highest level and are abreast with contracts.
?Some of the players even sign contract without reading. They don?t even read the content of the contract. The so-called managers only think about themselves.?
The intelligent defender played for Baidoo?s colt club during his formative years before he was loaned out to New Edubiase.
