Reports out of England indicate that Arsenal’s brand new kit sponsors will reportedly help the club fund a big money deal to sign Mario Balotelli at the end of the season.
The Gunners, who announced a partnership with sportswear giants Puma last month, are said to be keen on signing AC Milan striker Balotelli in the summer.
But amid talk that his giant price has put Arsene Wenger off making a bid, Puma are believed to have stepped in to offer an alternative.
According to reports in Italy, the company wants to help Arsenal finance a deal to bring the former Manchester City striker to the Emirates Stadium.
Puma, who also sponsor Balotelli, want two of their key brands together, and could even stump up as much as ?15million of any deal to make the transfer happen.
The 23-year-old has been in stunning form since moving to Milan from City, scoring 25 goals in just 38 matches.
Balotelli is rated at about ?40million by Milan.
Meanwhile, Juventus failed to land Nani in the transfer window – but Antonio Conte is ready to go back in for the Manchester United winger in the summer.
The Portugal international, currently out with a hamstring injury that David Moyes claims to be serious, was linked with an exit from Old Trafford in January.
Clubs across Europe sought the 27-year-old but Moyes blocked their advances.
The Milan clubs both wanted to sign Nani and Juventus tried to make a move late in the window before negotiations broke down.
Conte, though, remains optimistic he can persuade Moyes to sell this summer.
Anderson, who joined United at the same time as Nani back in 2007, recently denied reports he said that many players want to leave Old Trafford and in particular the former Sporting Lisbon star.
Nani’s future is uncertain, though, and sources in Italy suggest Conte will move for the player once the window is back open.
