The 36-year old man Charles Antwi who attempted to assassinate the outgoing President John Dramani Mahama has been released from Bureau of National Investigations (BNI) custody.Charles who pulled a gun in a church to kill the outgoing President whilst service was ongoing stayed in the custody for more than a year after the High Court quashed a Circuit Court decision that sentenced him to ten years in prison.Charles Antwi after his release told Ultimate News’ Wilberforce Asare that he no longer intends to kill the President and that he is returning to his family in Kumasi now that he is a free man.
