Buk Bak Living On Past Glory?

Buk BakAt some point in our lives we all fall into the ensnare of living on past glory .But the question remains, how long can we sustain flirting with our past achievements?  This is the exact case of Music duo Buk Bak made up of Bling Sparkles and Rony Coches.

There is no denying the fact that these two young men are major contenders for the niche of the best and most consistent music duo ever in Ghana Music but what seems to be a headache to me as well as many fans of the group is how they still rock the masses with their old songs rather than their current hits.

Of course it is very nice to take us back into the days but when it exceeds the performance of new hits, questions begin to fly from all angles asking to know if you are good as you used to be. This is an observation I have made since the duo confirmed the re-ignition of the Buk Bak brand. All shows I have attended with the group billed to perform have all produced similar results. Fans tend to go with songs like ‘Kormi K3 kena’,’U for Know’,’Gonja Barracks’,’Kaka Chofa’,’Chingilingi” and other old songs rather than ‘Alanta’,’Kolom’ and ‘Ator mi line’. Technically, nothing has changed about their music so I am in awe as to why people can‘t even relate to their songs anymore. This leaves their management with so many questions to answer.

Buk Bak what did you do then that you don’t do again?……Is it a managerial defieciency?…..Don’t you think you need a lot more branding and overhaul of your team? And faithful observers are worried about how your good songs don’t sell as they do forcing you to live on past glory!

Buk Bak……Please take note! Your fans are worried!.

Celebrate past successes but don’t feed on past feasts!

Yours truly, Mawuli Pomary.
