The same source announced that the government will spend over 300 million CFA Francs (5,000 U.S. dollars) on civic education for political parties.

Over 5.5 million Burkinabes will be expected to cast their votes to elect a new president and hence restore constitutional order that was disrupted after a popular uprising that pushed Blaise Compaore out of power in October 2014.
