Ministry of Mines and Steel to present road map to development

Chris Cooter, the Canadian High Commissioner to Nigeria, on Tuesday, revealed that his country would collaborate with the federal government to development the country’s solid minerals sector.
When he led a Canadian delegation to the Ministry of Mines and Steel Development, Cooter said: ?There is great demand for Canadian investment in Nigeria.?
The commissioner said there was a need for both countries to have good diplomatic relationship, reiterating that Canadian investments in Nigeria?s minerals and metals sector would boost the country’s economy.
Arch. Musa Sada, the minister of Mines and Steel Development, responding, said: ?With the recent discussion on the road map for solid mineral development, we are going to have lots of activities in the sector. The road map for solid minerals development will give greater opportunities for local and foreign investors to explore the enormous potentials of Nigeria?s minerals and metals sector.?
Sada revealed that the road map would be formally presented to the public before the end of the year.
