Carmaker Audi shows off a prototype of a high-tech bicycle

Though we were excited by Audi’s recent purchase of high-end motorcycle manufacturer Ducati, this isn’t exactly the Audi bike we had in mind. Still, the carbon-fiber bicycle unveiled at the 2012 Wörthersee Tour, in Austria, is lustworthy in its own right. Powered by electric motors or pedaling (or a combination of both) to speeds of up to 50 miles per hour, the Audi Wörthersee also boasts about as much onboard tech as your average hatchback, with an onboard computer capable of ride stat tracking, as well as smartphone connection and Facebook integration.

That means the bike can automatically post stunt data to your page’s feed — though not, we hope, the failed attempts.
