The directors and managers have been engaged in endless conflict over postings, transfer, supervision and monitoring of teachers, and this the group insists, is not helpful to the nation?s education.
This is why government and missions should get serious, show good faith and speed up the negotiation of a new educational partnership to streamline things.
The Association said everything must be done to make sure that they fashioned out and sealed a new partnership in the coming year 2015 to end the turf fight.
The appeal is contained in a New Year message issued in Kumasi and signed jointly by Messrs Eric Kyei, the Chairman, William Boakye-Baafi, Coordinator, and Bismark Antwi-Donkor, Secretary, of the Association.
It criticized what it said was frequent interference with the country?s education system by politicians, and asked that this must be discontinued.
It noted that the change of education policy with the coming in of every new political administration had been counter-productive to the promotion and sustenance of quality standards.
There should not only be continuity, but that the Ghana Education Service (GES) should also be allowed a free hand to operate.
The Association urged teachers to accept to work with renewed energy, passion and dedication in the New Year, to bring quality to their classroom work.
