Sun reaffirmed her commitment to a better China-Ghana relation and said she will make every effort to promote exchange and cooperation between the two countries.

Pro Vice-Chancellor of the UCC Professor George Oduro said the establishment of the Confucius Institute at the university and the award scheme have affirmed the love and passion the Chinese government has for the kind of working relationship both nations share.

Doku Kenneth Komla, one of the awardees, said the prize will enable them to achieve long-cherished dreams of becoming masters in the Chinese language and to promote and lead the advancement of the society.
