Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has predicted cloudy weather conditions in the central states with chances of localised thundery activities over the high ground areas in the evening and night for Sunday.
The NiMet forecast stated that when a region is expected to experience thundery activities, it means there will be rain, accompanied with thunder over the region.
The Weather Outlook, issued by NiMet?s Central Forecast Office (CFO) in Abuja on Saturday, noted that the southern coastal areas would experience cloudy conditions, with chances of localised showers in the afternoon and evening.
It said “cloudy conditions are expected in the inland area, with prospects of localised thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening on Sunday.??
According to NiMet, northern states will experience partly cloudy to sunny condition during the forecast period.
It stated that partly cloudy to sunny conditions means that there will be fewer cloud coverage over the sky.
