Coconut Grove Hotels made tremendous strides in the hospitality industry in 2012 and is expectant of another great feat in the coming year.
This, according to the General Manager of Coconut Grove Regency, Mr. Ralph Ayitey, was largely due to the visionary leadership of its major shareholder, Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom.
He said Dr. Nduom?s ability to forecast possibilities and challenges, coupled with the hotel?s emphasis on customer service, the provision of tasty and healthy made-in-Ghana foods, the co-operation between the stakeholders of the hotel and its working force contributed to the success story of the hotels.
According to him, ?Ghana is a decent place to do business and that whatever the political situation is, business is expected to grow.?
Mr. Ayitey told Today that measures are being put in place in the coming year to make the hotels reach and exceed its targets.
?Impeccable services, improved sanitation and security, orientation programmes for staff, staff training on the job and in the classrooms, as well as the constant interaction between the hotel and its clients on social media networks are some of the things we will be doing,? he disclosed.
Coconut Grove Hotels, he affirmed, is one of the leading hotels in the country.
Mr. Ayitey also revealed that the patronage of Coconut Grove Hotels in Elmina and Obuasi was above expectation.
The reason, he explained, was because people wanted to celebrate the Christmas festivities outside the capital, Accra.
He was full of praise for the hotels? clients, both Ghanaians and foreigners, for keeping faith with them and assured them of improved services and ?wonderful? surprises in 2013.
