To assist ICPC by exposing corrupt practices

The Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA) has launched its chapter of the Anti-Corruption and Transparency Unit (ACTU).

A statement from the Media Assistant to the executive secretary, Richard Nduul, said the chairman of the Independent Corrupt Practices and other related offences Commission (ICPC), represented by Austin Kuatsea, performed the ceremony and implored the staff to fight corruption head on by assisting the ICPC to expose corrupt practices.

He charged the FCDA officials to serve as ICPC’s eyes, by performing the functions of the commission, except prosecuting cases.

Chairman of the chapter, Ado Yakasai, said all the ACTU members were staff with proven integrity, who would complement ICPC’s job by displaying high level of integrity and accountability.

Yakasai, who doubles as FCDA’s director of staff welfare and training, pledged on behalf of the 12-man monitoring unit to mobilise the entire staff to join the crusade against corruption.

The 12-man monitoring unit has Ado Yakasai as chairman, and Kate Akhile as secretary. Other members include Orji Christopher, Zainab Mustapha, Nurudeen Ahmed, Nwagbara O., Esoimeme Nicholas, Adamu Mohammed, Oluwadamisi, Bala Ma’aji, Mrs. Egwatu and Ibrahim Halilu.
