Ghana?s position changed to 36th in the latest Federation of International Football Association (FIFA) Coca- Cola World ranking released for the month of August.

Ghana was ranked 38th, but moved up two places after it amassed a total of 648 points, 6 points more than their previous 642.31 points accumulated in July after they exited from the group stages of the World Cup.
Ghana is now ranked 36th in the world and lie behind 2006 world cup opponents Czech Republic who occupy the 35th position with champions of the World Cup Germany placing first on the table with accumulated points of 1736.
Argentina lie second place with 1604 points, Netherlands in third place with 1507 points with Columbia in fourth place.
The Black Stars of Ghana have now jumped to fourth place in Africa with Algeria leading followed by Cote D’ Ivory and defending Champions Nigeria.
