Meanwhile, the GHS has urged the public to continue to observe the COVID-19 preventive measures by staying at home, observing social distancing protocol, avoiding handshakes, washing hands often with soap under running water for at least 20 seconds, and covering one’s mouth and nose with a tissue when coughing or sneezing and disposing of it into a closed bin.

Others are wearing of face masks particularly when leaving home, avoiding touching eyes, nose and mouth, cleaning and disinfecting frequently touched objects or surfaces such as remote controls and door knobs, avoiding close contact with people who are sick and staying home if not feeling well.

“Stay home if you are sick. Call your doctor if you develop fever, cough, or difficulty in breathing or call any of the following toll-free numbers: 112, 0509497700 and 0558439868,” it said.

The GHS urged the public to call the numbers 112 for emergency situations and 311 for general information on the COVID-19.
