Personally I think Ghanaians make better music than our Nigerian brothers but Ghanaians either don?t support the good music or better still praise our artists until some of them give up and do what everybody is doing thus either Azonto or Afrobeats, I don?t mean Afrobeats is bad as we have some talented Afrobeats musicians like Fuse ODG and more. Ghanaian music is one-way, no versatility or difference. We have talented artists in our industry like EL, M.anifest, C-Real, Chase, Okyeame Kwame, Efya, Yaw Siki, X.O. Senavoe, J-Town, Bradez, Reggie Rocksone, M3nsa, Samini, Shatta Wale, IWAN, Cwesi Oteng, Edem, Trigmatic and many more but they?ve lost it to ?Azonto? musicians. Currently when you look at the Ghanaian music scene, you will realize that there?s no big Ghanaian song, the industry has been taken over by foreign music more especially Nigerian music and slowly South African music is also creeping up. When will we learn to promote and cherish our own music? You will be saddened to hear a Ghanaian tell you, ?me, I don?t even like Ghana music?
What do we mean by ?Not So Special? Ghanaian musicians? We mean the artists who either became popular or their songs became hit songs by chance. Some of these artists out of luck have at least 1 or not more than 3 hit singles and usually struggling to make another hit song. As they say, ?making your first hit song is a problem but the consequent ones are the biggest problems?. Click next to see our list of Ghanaian artists we think are not-so-special.
