May i crave your indulgence this good afternoon to bring to your attention ,an honest view which i shall call MINORITY REPORT .
Sir,some of your well wishers dubbed me all manner of thing ,they,ve swamped on me just to make sure that i shut up ,but Sir,they think they meant well but they are doing your administration more harm than good.
My Old man will say “anuta akara eze,oburu na eze gworo anumanu”[when concerns are whispered to the king ,people will think that the King is a witch doctor].
Sir,i want to remonstrate on the present grave mistake ,yes ,i said it is grave mistake and i will explain.
Presently the ministries in the state were rewarded with one BAG of Rice each ,some may dance ,some will clap and some will shout WILLIE IS WORKING ,but the truth Sir ,is that those people are SYCOPHANTS of the first Order.
Sir,what comes to mind is ,what is the rational behind this MID DAY RICE sharing or Bonanza ?
Is it to make us assume that hunger is rife in the state ? that the civil servants are in dire need of Rice ? .
Let me assume that they need the Rice but Sir ,did,nt your advisers RUN A SIMPLY ANALYSIS on the cost of this venture ?
If you wanted to say thank you to them ,why not MONITISED it ? ,say ,calculate the cost of RICE and give it to them as Bonus .My reasons are ….
MAMA GOLD RICE which you distributed ,were not produced in Nigeria ,so it is not patronage to the state or nation.
The cost of each in the market is about 9,000 NAIRA ,but factor in the cost of importing this consignment ,then the supply rate which the contractor must have inflated by 50% or a little less or a little higher,then the cost of Hiring the trailers that will convey it to and from LAGOS TO AWKA ,the labourers that loaded and off loaded the stuff .
You will see that each bag of Rice will get about 15,000 Naira on logistic alone ,then add the cost of the Rice proper and you will see that each Bag of Rice[won,t be less than 30,000 NAIRA each] would,ve bought 4 bags in open market ,so the question remains ,how does it make sense and what value does it add to the Government and Civil servants in General ?.
We are in September and this maybe SEPTEMBER RICE ,which means by December we will be looking at DECEMBER RICE AND CHICKEN ?.
His Excellency Sir,Please sack whosoever sold this idea to you ,because it does,nt present you in a good light.
What the state needed most is not momentous gift that will last but few days,and also it does not represent the masses .If this is thank you gift to civil servants ,how about the ARTISANS ,students and E.T.C ?.
Sir,some of this advisers are just after what they will get on any giving day and not what will make your Government to excel and move forward,so i plead that you start cleaning house,that way they will not bring your reign to the ERA of MBA -whatever .
